This prestigious award of $1\,000 is designed to recognize and support the aspirations of graduating seniors in Cheatham County who exhibit exceptional talent\, a commendable work ethic\, and a passionate drive for the arts. Our goal is to ease the financial burden on young artists\, enabling them to pursue their creative dreams\, regardless of their future educational path. \nWho Can Apply?\nThis scholarship is open to all graduating seniors in Cheatham County who are involved in visual arts\, music\, and performing arts. Whether you are planning to attend college\, a trade school\, or any form of traditional secondary education—or even if you’re setting your sights on a non-traditional creative path—this scholarship is for you! We recognize that the journey to becoming an artist is unique and diverse\, and we want to support your individual path. \nUse of Funds\nThe Lindahl Art Scholarship is versatile and designed to cater to the specific needs of the emerging artist. Recipients are encouraged to use the funds in ways that will best support their artistic journey\, including but not limited to: \n\nArt supplies\nMusical instruments\nWorkshop fees\nStudio space rental\nArtistic lessons (visual arts\, music\, performing arts)\nEquipment necessary for their craft\n\nOur aim is to provide financial assistance that enables you to focus more on your art and less on the costs associated with it. \nCriteria for Selection\nApplicants will be evaluated based on: \n\nTalent in their chosen art form: Demonstrated through a portfolio or performance submission.\nFinancial need: Aimed at candidates who require financial assistance to pursue their artistic goals.\nWork ethic and dedication: Illustrated through their commitment to their craft\, as described in their application and recommendations.\nDrive for the arts: Exhibited through their past experience and a vision for their future in the arts.\n\nHow to Apply\nTo apply for the 2024 Lindahl Art Scholarship\, please prepare the following materials: \n\nA completed application form (available on our website).\nA portfolio or video of your work (visual artists should submit images of their work; musicians and performers\, a video recording).\nA personal statement describing your artistic journey\, your financial need\, your future plans in the arts\, and how this scholarship will assist you in achieving those plans.\nLetters of recommendation (at least two) from teachers\, mentors\, or professionals in your artistic field.\n\nDeadline and Submission\nThe application deadline for the 2024 Lindahl Art Scholarship is April 1.
